I've had this bizarre cough for over 2 weeks now. During the day, I seem fine, but at night I have these coughing spasms/attacks that wake me up. This happened about a month ago, and I actually coughed so hard that I broke blood vessels in my face (looked like freckles). Last night I was asleep for about half an hour and then woke up with one of these spasms. Husband came to see if I was alright, and then offered to head to the drug store to buy me some cough syrup. It was very sweet, and much appreciated. We had just seen a commercial that night (obviously not very effective if I can't remember what it was advertising) with a pregnant woman who has her husband go to the store to buy her all kinds of snacks. We talked about how I never asked him to run to the store when I was pregnant to buy me ice cream (or pickles). Come to think of it, I think last night was the first time he did a middle of the night run, for me :) I love my husband.
The point of this blog really was to talk about my cough... I haven't gone to the doctor (Mom if you are reading) because this is the same cough I had last time and she gave me a different inhaler for it. I don't really know what else she could do. The cough definitely seems to get worse at night. I'm worried that I am allergic to my cat. I've had her for 4 years, and haven't noticed any allergies, but I was allergic to pets as a child. I really hope that's not what it is. Is it possible to redevelop pet allergies as an adult?
As an aside- totally unrelated to my cough or the nice things my husband does, something really annoying happened today and I wish I could blog about it. All I can say is, don't lie. If you forgot to do it, just apologize and own up to it. But seriously, you know it, and I know it, so why do you have to lie about it?
