I was married in September 2004. I loved my wedding. It was exactly what I wanted in so many ways. I spent a year and a half planning it, (and driving my bridesmaids crazy), so I had lots of time to think about details. When it came time to dress shop, I hit up every single wedding gown boutique in the city, and in Montreal. Nothing felt right on me, and I really had no idea what I wanted. Even when I tried on the dress I ended up buying, I wasn't sure I loved it. I went back three times with friends and my sister in law before I was convinced it was the one for me.

I loved the way it showed off my shoulders, because I worked really hard to get in shape for my wedding. I had a personal trainer, and thanks to her help, I was the smallest/most fit I've ever been on my wedding day. I'm proud of that accomplishment.

One of the most memorable moments for me that day was while my husband and I were taking photos of our staged cake cutting and first dance while our guests enjoyed the coctail reception (we opted not to pay the photographer extra to stay for the whole reception). There was a moment when I walked into the ballroom, and saw everything set up for the reception, with our song playing, and I started to cry. I just could not believe how perfect everything was and how quickly the day had arrived.

I love the shoulders on your dress as well! In fact, I would say that your dress is my actual dream dress -- exactly what I would have picked out for myself. You both look so lovely.
Next time I'm having a wedding, you're planning it!

You look so beautiful!
We had our wedding photos taken on the steps of Tabaret Hall too, but we got married across the street at St. Joseph's, and it looks like yours was inside Tabaret?
